Why Train at Our Academy?
In the heart of downtown Boise, we provide those with busy lifestyles an opportunity to learn authentic Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) at an academy that is associated with the highest organization in BJJ, the International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation (IBJJF). Your entire experience at Abide will be unique from other studios.
Our environment is welcoming to all levels of practitioners, and lessons are structured and paced to keep you engaged. That means the energy is high, and we choose quality over quantity.
Beginners and those looking to return to BJJ will be put through a specific on-boarding program when they attend regular gi classes. This will consist of drilling proper movements, positions, and submissions. This provides the opportunity to learn and refine basic movements and condition your body for more aggressive rolling (sparring). Safety is our priority!
Adult classes available. Call or message us at 208-918-2637 to get started!
Brad is extremely knowledgeable in the art, sport, and history of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He makes each class easy to understand and very rewarding. Great location on Idaho St in Downtown Boise, you've got to try it out!
Loved rolling at Abide Jiu Jitsu!! Brad has created a great environment to train and learn. His technical understanding of the sport is spot on and he is always available for questions about the instruction. Cannot wait to train with them again!!
Stopped in to train while in Boise on business. This group of mat monsters were very inviting and provide some great training with no ego or attitude. Fantastic up and coming BJJ school!!! Looking forward to my next Boise trip just so I can stop in again.
Been training there for about a month now. I was very nervous having no experience and being a woman. Everyone there is very kind and welcoming, I feel like I belong and am learning new things. I am gaining confidence and look forward to going everytime. Brad is very experienced and kind in his teachings. We joke and say Brad has the " Buddha glow.” I would recommend this place to anyone, male or female, experienced or completely new to the game like myself. Go check it out!
